## Description

The Kentucky Coal Association (KCA) is dedicated to representing both Eastern and Western Kentucky coal operations that use surface and underground methods. Since its establishment in 1942, KCA has worked to promote the best interests of the coal mining industry in the state. The organization offers individual and associate memberships, working to build a consensus approach to addressing the complex issues facing the industry. KCA's constitution and by-laws demonstrate a commitment to benefiting the entire Kentucky coal industry. The association has made strides in shaping public perception of the industry, highlighting its importance to the state's economy and people's lives. The KCA also publishes a directory of associate members, featuring services, supplies, and equipment available through each firm or company. With its diverse membership, KCA is instrumental in addressing the challenges facing the 21st Century coal industry. The association is currently led by a dedicated team, including a President, Treasurer, and Board Officers, who work to advance the interests of the coal industry in Kentucky.
