Kentucky Lantern is an independent and nonpartisan news service based in Frankfort, near the Capitol, covering all of Kentucky. We prioritize shedding light on how decisions made in positions of power impact the lives of Kentuckians, highlighting injustices, holding officials accountable, and showcasing stories of positive change. As part of States Newsroom, the nation's largest state-focused nonprofit news organization, we maintain editorial independence and offer our content free of charge, encouraging others to share with attribution.
