Blandina is a shining example of the positive impact Kenya Child Care has on the lives of children in Kenya. She is a resilient young girl who arrived at their rescue center when she was 15, already pregnant due to abuse from her stepbrother. Despite facing these challenges, she was determined to care for her son, Joel, and build a loving and stable future for both of them. Blandina was able to continue her education through a scholarship while Joel was cared for in a foster home. She successfully completed her high school diploma in December 2022 and realized her dream of becoming a teacher. Blandina's dedication to supporting other girls who have experienced similar situations led her to join Rise Up Now. As of May 1, 2023, Blandina is employed by Rise Up Now, which allows her to stand on her own and provide for her son. Her journey has come full circle, and she is an inspiration to us all.
