The Kenya Diaspora Alliance (KDA) is a federation of many diaspora organizations, devoted to championing the rights and issues of Kenyans living abroad. Since its establishment in the late 1990s, KDA has played a significant role in empowering the Kenyan Diaspora and ensuring their inclusion, representation, and participation in national affairs. One of KDA's major achievements is the development and launch of the Kenya Diaspora policy in 2014, recognizing the vital contributions of the diaspora to national development. KDA collaborates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (MOFA and IT) to shape policies that promote the interests of the diaspora. With over 1,000 organizations and more than 3 million diaspora Kenyans, KDA encourages active participation and contributions to building progressive diaspora programs.
