## Description

Kerna is an AI-powered email assistant designed to help people manage busy inboxes without changing how they work. Available as add-ins for Gmail and Outlook, it runs in the inbox sidebar and responds when users request help; it does not scan messages in the background. Kerna can sort open emails into categories such as Urgent, Respond, Invoice, Waiting and Notification, with options to create custom categories or use industry-specific taxonomies. It reads email threads to draft replies in the user’s tone and identify dates, tasks, commitments and other key details. For attachments, Kerna can provide summaries or extract selected information into tables for export to formats including Google Sheets, Excel, Word and CSV. The service supports 45 languages, including language-aware name and address forms. Kerna says it is hosted in the EU, redacts personal data before processing, and provides zero content retention under its stated arrangements with OpenAI. Its plans include a free option, and Kerna Standard is listed at €12 per month.
