## Description

Kernelns is a web security provider that places a protective layer between websites and incoming traffic, helping keep sites available during DDoS attacks, bot activity, and other web threats. Its system is designed to stop malicious requests before they reach a customer’s server, while keeping the server’s real IP address hidden and requiring no changes to website code.

Protection spans network, transport, TLS, and application layers. Features include kernel-level traffic filtering, connection limits, an IP blocklist, bot and rate controls, and an OWASP CRS 4 web application firewall for threats such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and file disclosure. Kernelns also provides protected DNS, automatic SSL issuance, and emergency response to help customers set up protection.

Customers can manage domains, security rules, IP access, and banned addresses through a live dashboard. It includes traffic monitoring, request logs, attack reports, and an API, giving teams visibility into what was allowed or blocked and why. Kernelns says its software is developed in-house and offers direct assistance during setup and active attacks.
