## Description

Kerstcorrida Deerlijk is an annual community sports event that brings runners, walkers, supporters and families together in a festive end-of-year atmosphere in Deerlijk, Belgium. The 43rd edition is scheduled for 19 and 20 December 2026, with activities based at UZIEN. Saturday features a Christmas walk over 4 or 7 kilometres, alongside a café and social events. Sunday is devoted to running, with 5, 10 and 15 kilometre races and youth events for different age groups. Participants can register individually or as a group, and the event also offers Start-To-Run training to help people prepare for the 5 kilometre distance. Kerstcorrida Deerlijk combines sport and community celebration with a charitable purpose: all proceeds support the special education schools De KIM and De SAM, as well as learning support centre Boost in Deerlijk. The event is organised with the help of sponsors, volunteers and partners. With more than 4,200 participants at a recent edition, it has become a popular local tradition, welcoming people of varied ages and fitness levels.
