## Description

Kerwabuam Wiedersbach e.V. is a community association in Wiedersbach, Germany, dedicated to organizing and preserving the village’s Kerwa, a traditional local festival. The group’s roots date to 1982, when residents arranged a village celebration after there was too little time to prepare a full Kerwa. The Wiedersbacher Kerwabuam were formally founded in 1983, and the association was officially registered in 2012.

Today’s festival has grown over the years, particularly as local inns closed and the association took on responsibility for managing the celebrations. Its members continue to uphold the event’s traditional highlights: Schlachtschüssel, a regional meal, on Thursday; raising the Kerwa tree on Friday; a procession on Sunday; and the festival’s closing celebrations on Monday. The association also shares its history and community life through an online archive of photographs, including galleries spanning many years, group pictures, and collections featuring past celebrations. The website provides information about upcoming dates, committee members, directions, and contact details, helping residents and visitors stay connected with the organization and its annual village tradition.
