## Description

Keuruu Fisheries Region is a Finnish fisheries management organization serving the Keuruu area and its member water owners and fishing organizations. Established under Finland’s new fisheries-region structure in 2019, its boundaries generally follow watershed divisions, with some exceptions. The Pihlajavesi route is no longer included, while the Ukonselkä watershed is now part of the region.

The organization brings together local shareholders’ associations, other owners of water areas, recreational fishing organizations and professional fishing organizations. Its governing bodies include the regional meeting, board and executive director. The region has 26 shareholder associations.

Keuruu Fisheries Region provides information and documents related to local fisheries management. Its website publishes decisions, notices, research and reports, alongside meeting records and current updates. Visitors can also find information about fishing permits, the region’s use and management plan, and member associations. Through these resources, the organization supports the administration and communication of fisheries matters across its area and helps members and the public follow relevant decisions, studies and activities.
