Drawing on a lifelong interest in basketball and skateboarding, as well as an understanding of sociology and urban design, he documents courts as dynamic community spaces, capturing their people, colors, details and changing surroundings. His practice spans photography, film, storytelling, exhibitions and publications, with projects ranging from short-form commissions to documentaries. In 2013, he directed and filmed the award-winning Doin’ It In The Park, about the history and culture of pickup basketball in New York City. Since then, he has traveled to more than 60 countries to document basketball’s global reach. His work includes collaborations with brands such as Nike, Apple, Jordan Brand, Hennessy and Carhartt, and cultural figures including Billie Eilish and Victor Wembanyama. Couliau has also published books and the Asphalt Chronicles series, and presented commissioned exhibitions internationally. He supports Giants of Africa, a nonprofit using basketball to educate and empower young people across Africa. ## Industries - 🍿 Arts and Entertainment - 🍿 Visual Arts and Design _(under Arts and Entertainment)_ - 🏈 Sports - 🏈 Basketball _(under Sports)_ ## Links - [instagram](https://instagram.com/kev.couliau) ## Logos & icons - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idA4gCC5Tk/w/100/h/100/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792430873047) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Outer Space | #32373a | dark | | Gray Chateau | #9ca3af | light | | Purple Heart | #4b20bb | accent | ## Fonts - var(--font-primary) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
