Description
KFAPA, which stands for Kansas Foster and Adoptive Parent Association, is a dedicated and empowering brand that supports foster, adoptive, and kinship parents across the state of Kansas. Since its establishment in 2007, KFAPA has played a pivotal role in educating, advocating, and empowering these families who selflessly care for children in need. Recognizing the constantly changing nature of the child welfare system, KFAPA ensures that foster, adoptive, and kinship families are equipped with the necessary support and up-to-date information to provide the best care for the children in their homes.
Through pre-MAPP informational forums, family welfare summits, support groups, and the hosting of conferences, KFAPA actively engages in the recruitment and retention of these parents. Led by an experienced and passionate board, including President Fabi Parker and Vice President Mary Tye, KFAPA is committed to its mission of empowering, educating, and advocating for Kansas foster, adoptive, and kinship parents. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, KFAPA tirelessly works towards creating a nurturing environment for these families, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to succeed in their noble roles.
