## Description

KH-terapia Oy provides speech therapy for children and young people in Helsinki. Led by Krista Heimonen, a specialist in this field, the practice focuses on understanding each client’s individual needs and supporting their participation in everyday life. Krista continually develops her professional knowledge through further training and draws on approaches that include functional therapy, sensorimotor work and NDT.

Rehabilitation is planned around the client’s own starting points and needs. Where possible, sessions take place in the client’s everyday environment, with open and close cooperation with family members and the wider community. This collaborative approach aims to make therapy relevant to daily routines and practical goals.

KH-terapia also offers animal-assisted rehabilitation. In this goal-oriented, individually planned work, an animal supports the therapist as a working partner; the rehabilitation is based on a rehabilitation plan. The site identifies KH-terapia as a Kela service provider and provides information about Kela benefits and GAS. Families can contact the practice to ask about available client places or arrange an inquiry by phone or email.
