Khulisa Social Solutions is a renowned Non-Profit Organization (NPO) that has been operating since 1997. Our core mission is to empower vulnerable children, marginalized youth, and the wider community to unlock their full potential and build resilient pathways towards a sustainable future. We have received multiple awards for our outstanding work and currently operate nationally, with 18 offices and over 180 staff members. Khulisa initially focused on implementing South Africa's first official rehabilitation program for young offenders. Over time, our efforts expanded to holistic community development, addressing various social and economic inclusion challenges through peace-making and restorative approaches. Our unique Communities of Opportunity (CoO) program, developed over the past 5 years and currently running in six provinces, aims to create inclusive environments where everyone can thrive in safety, health, and economic opportunities. At Khulisa, we take a comprehensive and integrated approach to community development, ensuring that our initiatives are impactful and sustainable. By working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, we identify key projects in the system that can bring about lasting social change. Our vision is to create a safer, healthier, and more prosperous South Africa, where all individuals, especially the youth, have access to the necessary information, skills, and opportunities for equitable development.
