## Description

KI.NRW is the central competence platform for artificial intelligence (AI) in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), initiated by the ministries MWIKE, MKW, and Fraunhofer IAIS. It aims to position NRW as a leading hub for applied AI by accelerating the transfer of innovative AI solutions from cutting-edge research to the economy, fostering a skilled workforce, and promoting societal dialogue on AI ethics.

KI.NRW offers a wide range of products and services, including the AI.Showroom for hands-on experience with AI demonstrators, exploratory areas called KI.Welten for discovering AI applications, and the AI.Landkarte as a resource for locating AI expertise across the region. The platform also supports pioneering projects through its "Flagships powered by KI.NRW" initiative and provides consultations, workshops, and introductory materials through services like KI.Sprechstunde and KI.Schnellstart. Regular newsletters, events, and networking opportunities keep the community informed and engaged, making KI.NRW a vital resource in the AI landscape.
