About
Description
Kids Write Network is a school-based mental health program that promotes literacy and mental health equity through neuroscience and the arts. This innovative program, developed at McGill University, combines positive psychology, neuroscience, and the four arts - writing, visual arts, music, and dance - to support positive mental health growth in students. The aim of Kids Write Network is to give each student a voice and help them build confidence and resilience.
By integrating the arts into their curriculum, this program provides a unique platform for students to express themselves and explore their emotions. In collaboration with renowned hip-hop dancers Laurent and Larry Bourgeois, Kids Write Network also uses dance and movement to increase mental health among youth. These ambassadors have performed for Beyonce and other notable artists, and they focus on using dance to empower and uplift young minds.
If you're passionate about mental health equity and want to support positive youth development, explore the Kids Write Network and join their mission in promoting literacy and mental health through the power of the arts
