## Description

Kigai is a traditional karate club founded in 2020 and registered in Gdynia, Poland. Its name reflects the values at the heart of the club: strength of character, courage, enthusiasm and resilience, alongside a commitment to continual development and self-improvement. Kigai brings together families who train recreationally and competitive athletes across age groups, including medal winners at regional, interregional and national tournaments. Around 200 people train with the club, which has sections in Gdynia and nearby Reda and Rumia and is affiliated with the Polish Traditional Karate Association.

The club offers karate training for children, young people and adults, led by qualified instructors with extensive coaching experience. Its activities also include self-defence instruction, summer and winter camps, and events that help members connect. Kigai runs community and youth programmes, including initiatives delivered with support from Poland’s Ministry of Sport and Tourism and in cooperation with the City of Gdynia. With recreational participation and competitive development both represented, the club provides opportunities to learn karate, build skills and pursue personal progress.
