(Kind im Mittelpunkt) is a Herford-based nonprofit association dedicated to supporting children with chronic illnesses and their families. Its program focuses particularly on helping children and young people live with diabetes through practical learning, shared experiences, and age-appropriate activities. KIM offers workshops and educational sessions for children, parents, and families, including guidance on diabetes in everyday life, insulin pump technology, transition to adult care, and preparation for school. The association also organizes camps, sports, and recreational events designed to build confidence, connection, and independence. Activities listed for 2026 include a diabetes camp, a sailing camp for teenagers, football and sports camps, and outings such as skating, canoeing, and visits to a riding stable. Family events, mindfulness activities, creative projects, and seasonal workshops are also part of its program. Through these services, KIM creates opportunities for participants to learn from one another while enjoying activities together. The association shares project reports, program information, and resources online, and invites people to learn about membership and support its work through donations. ## Industries - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Childrens Health _(under Health)_ - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ ## Links - [instagram](https://instagram.com/kinder.im.mittelpunkt) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idvbbfWA-Z/w/200/h/71/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793243494874) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idvbbfWA-Z/w/100/h/100/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793243495302) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Green Haze | #059b53 | accent | | Mine Shaft | #303030 | dark | | Goldenrod | #ffcb70 | light | ## Fonts - Gudea — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
