About

Description

KC&A Literary Agency is a longstanding and esteemed brand that values its clients and passionately supports their work. Originally known as Reece Halsey Agency, it was established in 1957 by Reece Halsey, a former head of the William Morris Agency west coast literary department. Located in Los Angeles, California, the agency boasts an impressive clientele including renowned names like Aldous Huxley, William Faulkner, Upton Sinclair, and Henry Miller.

Following Reece's passing in 1980, Dorris Halsey, an iconic literary agent and Reece's wife, took over the agency, infusing it with her unique style by hosting literary dinner parties and mingling with the Hollywood elite. In 1992, Kimberley Cameron joined Dorris as a business partner, and they expanded and built upon the agency's historical roster. Kimberley's commitment and personal touch earned her a reputation as a determined agent who never gave up.

In 2009, the agency was rebranded as Kimberley Cameron & Associates (KC&A), establishing active film and foreign sub-rights partnerships and extending its reach with offices in Paris and New York. In 2012, Kimberley refocused on the Bay Area, mentoring new local literary agents and expanding the agency further. Today, KC&A is a collaborative and devoted team of agents based in Northern California, committed to maintaining its exceptional reputation
