## Description

Kindcentrum De Baanbreker is a primary education and childcare centre serving the developing Buiksloterham neighbourhood in Amsterdam. It aims to be a welcoming community hub where children can feel safe, grow together, play, explore and develop their individual talents. The centre’s guiding idea is “discovering together who you are,” with an inclusive approach in which no child is left out. Its educational vision emphasises future-focused and inquiry-based learning, alongside attention to sustainability, identity, wellbeing, arts and culture, and global citizenship. Located in a sustainable building by the IJ, De Baanbreker brings education and care together under one roof. It offers primary schooling and works with after-school care partner Woest Zuid. Children can also benefit from a warm midday meal and collaboration with local sports clubs. The centre provides information for families about enrolment, school life, holidays, parent involvement and school policies, and invites prospective families to arrange an introduction. De Baanbreker is part of ASKO Scholen.
