## Description

Kinderhilfe Bethlehem is a charitable organization within the German Caritas Association that has supported children and families in Palestine since 1963. Its central focus is the Caritas Baby Hospital in Bethlehem, described as the only children’s hospital in the West Bank. The hospital provides medical and therapeutic care to children and young people regardless of their background, religion or family finances, treating around 40,000 children each year. Donations help fund this care and keep treatment costs manageable. The hospital’s social service supports families who cannot afford their share of medical expenses, helping ensure that no child is turned away. The organization also invests in training and developing local healthcare professionals to strengthen long-term care and the Palestinian health system. Its work includes plans for a day-surgery unit at the hospital, with completion secured through donations and an anticipated opening in October 2026. Supporters can give online, by bank transfer or recurring donation, sponsor a child, make an occasion or legacy gift, or contribute through a foundation.
