## Description

Flamingo Kinderhospiz is a children’s hospice in Fällanden, Switzerland, offering a supportive retreat for children and adolescents with life-limiting illnesses and the people closest to them. Its services also recognize the needs of brothers and sisters, helping the whole family find time to rest and regain strength before returning to the demands of everyday life. The hospice complements the specialized pediatric palliative care system through an holistic, family-oriented approach.

An interprofessional team provides care for children and supports families in challenging circumstances. The hospice’s offerings include nursing and therapy, sibling groups, and opportunities for families to spend time together in a calm, supportive environment. Its program also includes a school offering intended to bring structure, security, and a sense of everyday routine during a stay. Flamingo shares information and updates through news, newsletters, media resources, and annual reports, and invites the community to support its work through donations and fundraising activities. The organization’s stated aim is to accompany families, create space for recovery, and strengthen them for daily life.
