## Description

Kinetic Pro Cycling is a Cape Town-based youth cycling organisation with a mission to help aspiring riders excel in South Africa and internationally. Racing across age categories since 2017, it became a registered non-profit company in 2018 and is run by unpaid directors. The organisation develops riders on and off the bike through coaching, competition, mentoring and support for their education. At least three in four riders come from historically disadvantaged communities, and more than 14 Kinetic riders have represented South Africa.

From 2027, the Kinetic Cycling Academy will focus on 16 boys and girls aged 13 to 16 in the U15 and U17 categories. Riders receive individual training plans from a head coach, with selection for European racing based on results, training, school marks and conduct. The strongest six are planned to race in Belgium before competing in the Youth Tour of Assen in the Netherlands. Kinetic also supports rider welfare and academic progress, and aims to create a UCI Continental team in 2028, providing a pathway toward higher-level racing. Its riders have earned national and provincial titles, track medals and international selections.
