## Description

Kippi Leonard is an artist known for her captivating work in oil, graphite, and charcoal. Based in Cathedral City, California, Kippi creates paintings that are poetic, subdued, and deeply revealing. Her unique style involves layering rich colors onto raw linen and birch panel, creating an evocative tension between various elements within her artwork. In addition to painting, Kippi also explores the world of monotype printmaking. Her print work is characterized by its multidimensional and intuitive nature, driven by a meticulous process. Using oil relief inks, collage materials, and her own created materials, Kippi produces one-of-a-kind monotype prints, ghost prints, and Chine Collé. The traditional printmaking etching press is an essential tool in her creative process. Kippi's talent has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the First Place Painting Award at the La Jolla Fine Art Festival and the Second Place Mixed Media Painting Award at the Indian Wells Fine Art Festival. Her artwork can be found in private collections across the United States and internationally.
