To overcome these obstacles, we have partnered with Energidrop, a South African renewable energy developer, to establish Kisiwa Farming Limited on Mafia Island. With over 2,700 hectares of coconut plantations, we aim to rejuvenate the industry by ensuring optimal multicrop operations and maximum local beneficiation. Our mission is to create substantial local value by operating in cooperation with the community and finding a balance between profit, environment, and social responsibility. We believe in taking audacious goals and breaking them down into smaller, manageable steps to promote sustainable growth and lower risks. At Kisiwa Farming Limited, we understand the importance of utilizing every bit of produce. For every liter of coconut oil produced, we generate over 10 kilograms of residues. By converting these residues into additional products and eventually into energy, we aim to maximize the value of each produce and ensure the return of fortified organic nutrients to the plantation.
