## Description

The Terschelling kitesurf school helps visitors learn and enjoy kitesurfing along the island’s North Sea coast. Led by owner and head instructor Klaas Smit, the school offers lessons with a KNWV-certified instructor and draws on more than 20 years of kitesurfing experience. Private and duo sessions, with no more than two students per instructor, are designed for beginners, children and more experienced riders seeking coaching. Courses cover kite control, equipment, weather and spot awareness, safety systems, water skills and board starts, with the aim of helping students progress safely towards riding independently.

The school also provides clinics, downwinders and kitesurf safaris, as well as introductory wingsurf lessons. Its spot guide helps riders choose a suitable location for different wind directions, and the team can advise visitors who already kitesurf. Operating from April to late October, the school takes bookings for lessons and courses. Other offerings include a gear shop and electric fatbike day rentals for reaching the beach and riding to a local spot.
