## Description

Krakowski Klub Modelarzy Kolejowych (Krakow Railway Modellers’ Club) is a Polish association bringing together railway modellers, collectors and enthusiasts of public transport. The club describes itself as Poland’s oldest registered association dedicated to railways and railway modelling. Since its beginnings, members have built railway models and modular layouts and organised exhibitions for the public.

The modelling section develops a modular layout in H0 scale using the FREMO standard, joining completed sections into larger displays. The club presents its models at events across Poland and Europe, including FREMO gatherings, and arranges travelling exhibitions at cultural centres, libraries and community venues. These events may feature children’s activities such as model-making demonstrations and creative workshops.

A separate public transport section focuses especially on Krakow’s historic trams and buses. Its volunteers help the municipal transport operator restore and maintain heritage vehicles, support transport parades and other events, and provide conductors for the Krakow Museum Line. The club also organises rides on historic vehicles and participates in railway outings and events.
