## Description

DAV Kletterzentrum Ostalb is an indoor climbing centre operated by the Schwaben Section of the German Alpine Club (DAV). Located in central Aalen, it has welcomed climbers since 2007 and was expanded again in November 2024. The centre offers more than 900 square metres of climbing area, with walls reaching 16 metres high and over 120 routes graded from 3 to 10. Climbers can also use a 240-square-metre training area with bouldering options, a children’s and instruction wall, and routes with overhangs of up to 4.5 metres. Equipment is available to rent, making it easier for visitors to get started or climb without bringing their own gear. The centre provides courses, visitor information, advance registration, opening hours and prices, as well as gift vouchers. First-time visitors can find practical guidance and required forms, while a frequently asked questions section helps prepare for a visit. The Boulderzentrum Ostalb in Essingen is also associated with the DAV Schwaben Section.
