## Description

Knitted Knockers, based in Bellingham, WA, is a brand that connects volunteer knitters with breast cancer survivors to provide free knitted knockers. These knitted prosthetics offer a comfortable, beautiful, and adjustable alternative to traditional breast prosthetics. Unlike other options, Knitted Knockers can be worn immediately after surgery and even while swimming. The brand's mission is to meet the high demand for these handmade knockers by empowering individuals in each area to set a goal of meeting the need in their county. Knitted Knockers also supports medical clinics by providing resources and encourages individuals to adopt a clinic. With a network of registered medical providers and knitter groups, they have already provided a significant number of knockers to women who have undergone mastectomy or lumpectomy. To learn more about Knitted Knockers and how you can get involved as a volunteer or recipient, visit their official website.
