## Description

KO-NEKT supports children and young people aged 5 to 25 with Additional Support Needs, whether or not they have a diagnosis. The organisation champions equality, inclusion and personal growth, creating safe, flexible opportunities for young people to connect with peers and participate in their communities.

Services are delivered in group settings at KO-NEKT centres and through one-to-one or two-to-one support in the community. Personalised support may include play-based activities, life skills development and emotional wellbeing support. One-to-one sessions can also take place at home in North Lanarkshire, with group activities introduced at the young person’s pace if they wish.

Each young person receives an individual care plan based on their needs, interests and goals, with progress reviewed every three months using Scotland’s SHANARRI wellbeing indicators. Support workers are selected for their qualifications and commitment, and families can choose when, where and how support is arranged. An online platform lets parents and carers book sessions, view diaries and plans, manage payments and communicate with the team.
