## Description

Carnavalsvereniging De Koalstampers is a community carnival association based in Berlicum, where the local carnival area is known as Dun Birrekoal. Active since 1964, the association brings people together to celebrate carnival and take part in activities before and during the festivities. Its programme includes a welcoming New Year’s reception, a song festival, and the traditional 11-11 celebration. Members also organise the lively Dobbelloop and contribute to the carnival parade through a group of enthusiastic float builders. During carnival, the association stages a carnival wedding, adding another distinctive event to the celebrations. De Koalstampers also shares information about its board, club locations known as De Beuk and De Suisse, and its club song. Visitors can contact the association and follow its updates through Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. With a long history and a varied calendar of social and festive activities, De Koalstampers plays an active role in keeping Berlicum’s carnival traditions lively and welcoming for the local community.
