## Description

Koalya is a French-designed platform that helps families, schools and healthcare professionals coordinate support around children, particularly those with disabilities or neurodevelopmental needs. It brings information that is often scattered across different people and services into a shared space, so families do not have to repeatedly explain a child’s needs and history. More than 1,000 families use the service.

Through the Koalya app, families can create a child’s profile covering health, education, daily life and challenging situations. They can share tailored PDF summaries or grant selected people access, with permissions that can be revoked. Families remain in control of who sees which information, while authorised professionals can contribute to a shared, up-to-date understanding of the child’s support plan.

Koalya serves parents and families, independent paramedical practitioners, and social and medico-social institutions. Its tools are intended to improve coordination across home, school and care settings, helping professionals align their work and continue the impact of appointments beyond the session.
