## Description

Kölsche Figaros e.V. is a Cologne carnival society whose roots date to 1950. Originally formed to encourage fellowship among like-minded people, the organization gradually adapted to the changing carnival tradition. In 1993, it became an independent carnival society with its own constitution and adopted the name “Kölsche Figaros.” It joined the Festkomitee Kölner Karneval and began regularly welcoming Cologne’s Dreigestirn, the city’s traditional carnival trio, at its events.

The society brings people together through carnival celebrations and community activities. Its programme includes “Sing! Figaro! Sing!”, a session-opening event, a large costume ball, and “Total Jeck,” a carnival party held at the Hofburg. The website also features information about the society’s board, active members, senators, history, dance corps, partners, and membership opportunities, alongside event details, galleries, publications, awards, press coverage, and videos.

Based in Cologne, the society welcomes visitors to explore its events and learn more about its carnival community. Its spirited motto, “Dreimol vun Hätze Kölle Alaaf!”, reflects its strong connection to Cologne’s carnival culture.
