## Description

KOER is a worldwide Afrikaans-language dating and social discovery platform for meeting partners and friends in Afrikaans. Through its mobile app, users can explore profiles from around the world and connect with people seeking anything from conversation and friendship to dating and lasting love. The app is free to download from the Apple App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery.

Members create a profile describing themselves, their interests and hobbies, then use preferences such as age, gender, interests and distance to find compatible people. KOER’s matching algorithm uses selected settings and location to present profiles. The platform emphasizes user choice and safety: members can control whether their profile is visible, send anonymous indications of interest, chat only when interest is mutual, and report or block profiles for review by the team.

KOER also shares member stories about relationships and marriages that began on the app. Its mission is to connect Afrikaans speakers locally and internationally, while letting each person choose how broadly to search.
