## Description

Kohl Journal is a progressive and feminist academic journal that focuses on gender and sexuality in the Middle East, South West Asia, and North Africa regions. As a biannual, multilingual, open access, and peer-reviewed publication, Kohl targets a wide audience, including graduate-level academics, fresh graduates, independent writers, activists, and researchers. The journal aims to challenge mainstream narratives on feminism, gender, and sexuality, which often perpetuate Orientalist misconceptions and lack in-depth research. With its headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon, and Paris, France, Kohl Journal serves as a platform to redefine the intersections and challenges of feminist and sexuality research in these regions. Their publication not only bridges the gap between academia and activism but also promotes independent and young academic voices. Kohl encourages free and equal access to information and resources, reflecting their commitment to empowering marginalized communities.
