## Description

The Elferrat of the Kolpingsfamilie Elten is a local carnival organization active since 1953 in Elten, now a district of Emmerich am Rhein. Founded in part by Jakob “Köbi” Daams, Theo Meyer and Franz “Zappel” Berg, the group celebrates the fifth season through traditional carnival-session events. Its website shares information about the council, its history and past presidents, along with details of committee and session orders and honorary members.

The organization documents its activities through an archive of session photographs, videos and publications, including its “Narrenspiegel” and informational brochures covering several decades. Visitors can explore material from recent sessions as well as historic recordings, and find updates such as videos from the 2026 session. The site also lists seasonal events and provides contact information for the Elferrat and the Kolpingsfamilie’s board. Through its annual sessions, historical records and community-focused online archive, the Elferrat preserves and shares the carnival traditions of Kolpingsfamilie Elten.
