## Description

Kompis Sverige is a nonprofit organization that works to prevent social exclusion and build connections between newcomers and Swedish society. Its vision is a Sweden shaped by trust and participation for everyone. The organization creates opportunities for people to meet, learn from one another, and develop a greater understanding of everyday life in Sweden.

Its Kompisprogram matches an established Swedish resident with a newcomer, taking factors such as interests and location into account. Participants receive contact details and guidance, and Kompis Sverige follows each match for six months, offering advice or a new match if needed. The organization also arranges free social activities and meeting places, including language cafés, museum visits, cultural events, sports, outings, and informal gatherings. These experiences support practical Swedish-language practice and encourage mutual exchange among participants.

Kompis Sverige works with companies, public bodies, and other organizations through staff engagement, pro bono support, and joint campaigns. People can sign up to become a friend, join activities, support the organization, or explore collaboration.
