## Description

Komuko is the communication support service of Jules Korn, helping deaf, hard-of-hearing, speech-impaired, and other people with disabilities communicate and navigate everyday situations. Support is provided in German Sign Language (DGS) and Signed German (LBG), in person or by video throughout Germany. Jules Korn is hard of hearing and grew up bilingual in spoken and sign language, bringing personal understanding to her work. She has worked in special and support schools since 2011, with experience in hearing-impaired education and support for learning and social-emotional development, and completed her studies with a second state examination in Heidelberg.

Komuko offers assistance with communication at employment agency appointments, including applications and career guidance; healthcare visits, such as appointments with doctors, dentists, and other specialists; school discussions and inclusion matters; and contact with social services, youth welfare offices, and pension providers. The service is personal, reliable, and tailored to each person’s circumstances, with the aim of reducing barriers and easing sensitive or practical tasks.
