## Description

Koniku, based in San Rafael, CA, is a brand that is revolutionizing the future with its synthetic neurobiology technology. They specialize in building sensing and thinking machines that are based on carbon and offer extremely dense sensing and computation capabilities. At Koniku, everything is engineered with care for sustainability and strong ethics, making them future positive. One of their groundbreaking products is the smell cyborgs, small form factor devices that will be deployed in 10 million homes within this decade. These smell cyborgs have the ability to autonomously and intelligently read the air, mapping all volatile organic compounds that touch human life. By leveraging synthetic biology and silicon, Koniku has engineered proteins in biological neurons to create precise protein particle interactions. The biological cells function as sensors, amplifiers, and biological signal processors, enabling the detection of smell on a planetary scale. Koniku's innovative technology is supported by their fast and scalable data universe, which allows them to classify and create value from all smells that impact human life. They have also developed the Koniku Technology Integrator Ecosystem (KTIE), a community that fosters businesses from startups to Fortune 500 companies.
