## Description

The Foundation for Cultivating the Traditions of Polonia Warsaw Basketball Players is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the basketball community associated with Polonia Warsaw, the Warsaw sports club whose teams are known as the “Black Shirts.” Its website serves as a resource for people interested in the club’s past, with historical features, news and material about the Foundation’s mission, goals and statute.

The published articles document the development of Polonia’s basketball teams, including their early years between 1928 and 1939, and profile players, coaches and other people connected with the section. The Foundation also explores how the lives of Polonia figures intersected with wider events in Warsaw’s history. For example, a commemorative feature recounts the experiences of players and associates during the Warsaw Uprising, recognizing both those who fought and those who suffered as civilians.

By collecting and presenting these stories, the Foundation helps keep the memory of Polonia’s basketball heritage accessible to supporters and readers.
