## Description

Editio Musica Budapest has a rich history dating back to its founding as the Hungarian State Music Publisher in 1950. Over the years, it has built a diverse music catalogue that includes a variety of genres and styles, ranging from classical compositions to pop music. The brand has a strong tradition of publishing high-quality music dictionaries, academic texts, and popular publications, contributing greatly to the strengthening of Hungarian musicology.

As the company adapted to changes in the music industry, it became a leading figure in the Eastern European market and established a strong international presence. Despite the challenges of the '90s, Editio Musica Budapest remained economically stable and was eventually privatized, passing through the hands of several influential music publishers.

Today, Editio Musica Budapest is a member of the Universal Music Publishing Group, the world's largest and most diverse music publisher. The brand continues to offer a wide range of printed music, digital sheet music, and accessories, while overseeing the Hire Library and Copyright departments. With a rich heritage and a commitment to quality, Editio Musica Budapest remains a prominent presence in the world of music publishing.
