## Description

Kodomo Plus Kamagaya is a child development support and after-school day service based in Kamagaya, Chiba Prefecture. The center provides developmental support through a balanced program of movement-based learning, educational activities, and play, with activities tailored to each child’s needs and individual goals. Its central approach is the Yanagisawa Movement Program, a curriculum built around the idea that active play can encourage brain activity and support children’s physical and emotional development. The program draws on research and decades of practical instruction in movement activities for young children.

Sessions combine movement exercises with learning materials such as drills and flash cards, and the center places particular emphasis on language support. Activities are intended to help children develop coordination, posture, communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and confidence in group settings. Support is organized around five developmental areas identified in Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare guidelines. The center also aims to work alongside families, offering a welcoming place for children while supporting families as they consider their child’s development and future.
