## Description

The Kaohsiung Music Center, established in 2018 as a unique administrative corporation, serves as a vibrant hub for pop music in southern Taiwan. Initiated by a governmental project in 2009 and designed by renowned architect Manuel Alvarez Monteserin Lahoz, the facility is designed to nurture local music talent and support the industry. Spanning various performance venues, including six small exhibition spaces, a large indoor hall, and an outdoor stage, the center also features areas dedicated to pop music exhibitions and community spaces. Its picturesque location by the harbor enhances the visitor experience, creating a new recreational site for tourism.

The center hosts a variety of events such as theme music festivals, international exchanges, and supportive courses aimed at cultivating local musicians, while offering business space for creative industries. With a vision to integrate the local culture into a broader economic fabric, the Kaohsiung Music Center aims to become a landmark for both music appreciation and cultural tourism in the region.
