## Description

KraamzorgSchagen provides personal maternity care in Schagen and the surrounding area, led by independent maternity care professional Sandra Stoop. With experience dating back to 2008, Sandra supports families through pregnancy, birth and the first days at home with a newborn. Her approach begins with a personal introduction and an intake during pregnancy, giving parents the opportunity to discuss their wishes and expectations in advance.

During a home birth, Sandra can assist the midwife and support the parents; after a hospital birth, she can help the family get started at home. In the maternity period, her services include care for mother and baby, daily health checks, hygiene, breastfeeding guidance or support with formula feeding, practical advice and help around the home. She records care in a daily dossier and provides a handover to the child health clinic at the end of the period.

KraamzorgSchagen serves Schagen and an area of approximately 10 kilometres, with care outside this area open to discussion.
