## Description

UKMF (Universal Krav Maga Formation) is a French martial arts and instructor-training federation focused on Krav Maga, self-defence and related disciplines. It offers regular training seminars, technical development and belt examinations, with sessions held in France and the option for instructors to arrange training at their own location. UKMF also provides pathways for aspiring instructors and people wishing to open a club, including guidance with administrative steps and a complimentary club website. The federation says some instructor and belt qualifications may be recognised through France’s youth and sport system, and it supports validation of prior experience (VAE).

Beyond Krav Maga, UKMF advertises training in Tonfa and baton techniques, close protection, Jiu-Jitsu, grappling, Full Contact, kickboxing and American boxing. Its programmes include instructor courses, skills development and level assessments. The organisation reports being affiliated with the international FIKMDA federation and partnering with Brazil’s BOPE special forces. Led in France by Samuel Carel, UKMF presents its approach as practical, supported by experienced instructors, and aimed at both practitioners and future club leaders.
