## Description

Krewe La Vie Doux is a Mardi Gras krewe based in Youngsville, Louisiana, founded after the 2019 Mardi Gras season by Kayla Reaux and former member Charlie Porter. Inspired by a desire to bring another krewe to Youngsville, its founders envisioned an organization that combines festive gatherings with meaningful community involvement. The krewe’s mission is to cultivate the local community and economy through support for small businesses and community outreach, while promoting Youngsville, Broussard, and the wider Acadiana area.

Its activities include hosting an annual Mardi Gras ball and organizing community events such as golf tournaments, a sugar run, and the Gary P. Williams Memorial Jambalaya Cookoff. The organization also shares event photographs and recognizes its royalty and board of directors. Membership is supported through an application process, with a members-only area and store listed on its website. Krewe La Vie Doux invites people to “come live the sweet life,” bringing together celebration, friendship, local business support, and service to the community.
