## Description

Krimpedia is an innovative online encyclopedia dedicated to criminology, established in 2007 during a foundational seminar at the Institute for Criminological Social Research (IKS) in Hamburg. Emblematic of its focus, the brand's logo features vibrant colors of cyan, magenta, and yellow, symbolizing the core aspects of criminology: lawmaking, lawbreaking, and societal reactions to criminal behavior.

With thousands of entries, Krimpedia serves as a comprehensive resource for individuals interested in criminological and deviance sociological topics. The platform thrives on the principles of free knowledge sharing and collaboration, similar to Wikipedia, and is available to the public under a Creative Commons license that encourages non-commercial use and redistribution under the same conditions.

Since February 2022, Krimpedia can be accessed through a new web address, ensuring its evolving accessibility for researchers, students, and anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of criminal science. The brand embodies a commitment to education and the dissemination of knowledge in the field of criminology.
