# Krippenweg in Ottersdorf - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `krippenweg-ottersdorf.de` ## Description Krippenweg Ottersdorf is a community-led winter attraction in Ottersdorf, a district of Rastatt, Germany. Held annually from the first Sunday of Advent through January 6, it invites visitors to follow a family-friendly, free route featuring Christmas nativity scenes created and displayed by local residents. The displays vary in size and style, making each season a shared showcase of the community’s creativity and festive traditions. Visitors can use a route map or scan a QR code to open the full trail in Google Maps and navigate between stations. The season begins with an opening celebration featuring local music and performances, refreshments, and, on the 2025 event programme, live animals from a nativity scene. Along the route, visitors may also encounter courtyard Christmas markets and seasonal refreshments, including a self-service mulled-wine station. The website shares event dates, directions, seasonal updates, and information for people interested in contributing a nativity scene. It also highlights community initiatives, such as collecting expired first-aid kits for donation to the charity Hoffnung für Kasachstan e.
