## Description

The Kronenburger Christmas Market is an annual community event that brings festive traditions to the historic village of Kronenburg in the Eifel. Held over the first Advent weekend, it transforms the village’s historic castle ring, half-timbered houses, narrow lanes, and castle ruins into a welcoming seasonal setting. The market runs for three days and attracts around 10,000 visitors each year, with approximately 60 stalls.

Visitors can browse handmade gifts and decorations created by local craftspeople, enjoy a selection of festive food and drinks, and experience Christmas songs and performances by local artists. The event offers a calm, traditional alternative to the busy atmosphere of larger holiday markets, with lights and seasonal decorations adding to its historic character.

The market also welcomes prospective stallholders and provides information to help visitors plan their trip. As the old village center is closed to traffic during the event, designated parking areas are available outside it, with a free shuttle bus carrying visitors to and from the market.
