## Description

The Coordination Centre for Transplants (KST) supports the Czech Republic’s transplantation programme, working with partners to maintain its high standards and help improve or save patients’ lives. Its work is guided by transparency, fairness, trust and loyalty, and informed by modern medicine, ethics and law.

KST provides information about organ and tissue transplantation for the public and healthcare professionals. Its website explains donation and waiting-list processes, answers common questions, and covers transplants involving the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, pancreas, intestine, uterus and tissues. It also provides information about the national register of people who do not consent to post-mortem tissue and organ donation.

For professionals and the public, KST offers resources including forms, statistics, annual reports and contact details for transplant centres, tissue facilities, nephrology services and specialist organisations. The centre also shares news about transplantation and works with international partners, including through FOEDUS. KST can be contacted by email or via its 24-hour coordination phone line.
