## Description

Founded in May 2012, the Finnish Society for Cultural Policy Research brings together interdisciplinary research on cultural policy. The society works to strengthen collaboration among researchers, public administration and cultural policy practitioners in Finland and internationally, and to help apply research findings in practice. Its activities connect scholarship with the people and institutions involved in shaping cultural policy.

The society publishes the peer-reviewed Cultural Policy Yearbook once a year and organizes Cultural Policy Research Days, providing opportunities to share research and engage with current themes. It also arranges stakeholder visits that support scholarly activity and awards an annual prize for an excellent master’s thesis related to cultural policy research. These publications, events and awards form the core of its offering to the research community.

The society shares news and information about its activities, including calls for conference presentations and working groups, annual research days, governance updates and thesis prize nominations. It also welcomes new members and offers membership and organizational information through its website.
